Installation
Follow these steps to invite Hush Bot to your Discord server and configure it for optimal performance.
Step 1: Invite Hush Bot
Click the button below to invite Hush Bot to your server with the required permissions:
Invite Hush BotMake sure you have Manage Server permission.
Step 2: Assign Bot Role
After inviting Hush Bot, ensure it has the highest role in your server hierarchy that is required for moderation commands.
Discord Settings → Roles → Drag Hush Bot above roles it should manage
Step 3: Enable Required Intents
Hush Bot requires specific intents to function properly. Make sure to enable these:
- Server Members Intent
- Message Content Intent
- Presence Intent (optional for online/offline stats)
Discord Developer Portal → Bot → Privileged Gateway Intents
Enable the toggles above
Step 4: Configure Default Channels
To use welcome messages, logs, and server stats, assign the default channels:
- Welcome Channel
- Goodbye/Leave Channel
- Server Logs
- Music Text Channel (optional)
Channels can be updated anytime via /dashboard commands.
Step 5: Test the Bot
Test basic commands to ensure Hush Bot is working:
/hello— Should respond with a greeting/serverstats— Should display server statistics/welcome— Should send a welcome message
Troubleshooting
Common issues during installation:
- Bot not responding: Make sure it has permission to send messages in channels.
- Commands not working: Re-sync slash commands using
/sync. - Server stats incorrect: Enable presence intent and give proper role hierarchy.
